US ST Case 3 – Guidelines followed
Summary
23 year old G 1 P0. Gest. week 40+3. Unremarkable pregnancy.
- 12:00 Admitted to the hospital in spontaneous labor, contracting began at 10:00 and SROM reported at 06:00, meconium stained fluid noted. SVE: Cx 4 cm dilated, 100% effaced, vx-1.
- 14:37 Epidural placed. SVE: Cx 6 cm dilated, 100% effaced, vx -1.
- 15:31 Decelerations visible with external monitoring. Decision made to place a FSE and initiate ST Analysis.
- 18:44 SVE: Cx 8 cm dilated, 100% effaced, vx -1.
- 19:50 SVE: Cx 8 cm dilated, 100% effaced, vx at 0 station.
- 19:58 Baseline ST event. Oxytocin infusion turned off. Obstetrician decides to perform Cesarean section.
- 20:00 Baseline ST event.
- 20:08 Cesarean section. Baby girl born. Birth weight 2980 g. Apgar Score 9/10/10.

Comment
STAN Guidelines are followed. Yellow Zone tracing with ST Events displayed and no improvement in the fetal condition requires qualified assessment. In this case an expeditious delivery occurred.
