CTG Case 8 – Saltatory pattern
Summary
24 year old G 1 P0. Gest.week 38+2. Oligoydramnios. AFI 41. Induction of labour.
- 10:01 Induction of labour with ARM, clear liquor draining. VE: Cx fully effaced, dilated 3 cm, vx-2.
- 11:00 Oxytocin infusion started.
- 14:00 Epidural sited on maternal request.
- 15:00 VE: Cx fully effaced, 6 cm dilated, vx -1.
- 18:30 VE: Cx fully effaced, 8 cm dilated, vx at the spines. Oxytocin on highest recommended level.
- 19:30 VE: Cx fully dilated, at the spines.
- 20:42 VE: Cx fully dilated, vx+2. Active pushing started and physician decides to deliver with vacuum extraction.
- 20:57 Vacuum extraction. Babyboy born. AS 5, 7, 9.VE midcavity. Birthweight 2955 g.
