US ST Case 10 – Guidelines followed
Summary
29 year old G 1 P0 Gest. week 38+4. The patient was diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
- 15:30 Admitted to the hospital with mild contractions. Blood sugar levels within normal limits.
- 16:12 SVE: Cx 3 cm dilated, 100% effaced, vx -2. AROM performed, clear fluid noted, FSE applied and ST analysis initiated.
- 16:50 Oxytocin infusion started.
- 17:42 Baseline ST event. SVE: Cx 4 cm dilated, 100% effaced, vx -2. Oxytocin infusion stopped due to Yellow Zone tracing and the ST Event. The Obstetrician decides to perform a cesarean section.
- 18:32 Cesarean section. Baby girl born. Apgar Score 8/9/10.
