CTG Case 1 – Normal CTG
Summary
A 19 year old G1 P0. Gest.week 41+3. Normal pregnancy. Admitted to hospital in spontaneous onset of labour, contracting since 18:30. VE: 6/100/-1.
- 00:13 AROM, meconium stained fluid noted. VE: Cx fully effaced, 6 cm dilated, vx-1. FSE applied and ST analysis initiated.
- 03:00 Labour progresses well. VE: Cx fully effaced, 9 cm dilated, vx +1.
- 05:00 Active pushing started, vx visible during contraction.
- 05:34 Spontaneous virginal delivery, the umbilical cord around the body.
Apgar score: 10/10

Comment
The CTG is Normal. The variable decelerations during the length of labor are most likely a sign of cord compression that the fetus tolerates well.
